FILLED with SCENERY, STORY, and PEOPLE / YI DONGJAE, YE JAEGON, LEE JIEUN, OH MOOYEOL / Republic of Korea, Seoul
1. The project shows two different masses each representing conservation and development. The initial idea of designing is to conserve the history of the city by simply showing them. The first step of the designing is to create the scenery.Three of old cathedrals in Yaroslavl are visible on the site. The act of seeing the city represents the history of the city and the conservation of the city.We chose the best spot for sceneries, and put a box to show the scenery the best. These sceneries are regarded as one of the most important part of the exhibition, and the box is regarded as the head of the exhibition space. The box is a space that the conservation of the history of the city is going on.
2. The whole exhibition space is formed by extending the box, since the box is the most important part of the exhibition space. Then we fold this long exhibition space along the shape of the site. The void created by the exhibition space forms the hall which is the place to gather. The space which people gathers also simply shows the development of the city. Читать далее
